Superintendent Search Discussion

  1. Superintendent Search Discussion

    1. Dr. Jeff Standridge, Strategic Consultant, was chosen to lead our CPSD Superintendent Search. During the meeting, Dr. Standridge presented and proposed a Superintendent Search plan along with Board Effectiveness Recommendations.

    2. The Board approved the following:

      1. Superintendent Position Description & Salary Range of $275,000-$300,000.

      2. Superintendent Search Committee Structure, Charter, Selection Process and Actual Committee at October Board Meeting.

    Legal Counsel Update - Our General Council, Shasta Wagner, gave an update about Conway Public School potentially being added to Ten Commandments Lawsuit.

During the meeting, Interim Superintendent Jason Black cautioned against distractions, saying, "We cannot allow half-truths or sensationalism to distract us from the real work of the district. Our responsibility is to remain disciplined, transparent, and united." Looking ahead, he mentioned that "learning from the past is necessary, but living in the past robs our students, teachers, and families of the leadership they deserve for the future."
