Community Helper Volunteer Information 

Check in/out procedures: 

Students you must SIGN IN at the office when you arrive late!

Students you must SIGN OUT at the office if you check out!

*THIS DOES NOT APPLY FOR OFF-CAMPUS HOLD STUDENTS!!!

Students may check in on their own. However, they must receive permission from an authorized contact listed on their account before checking out, even if they are 18 years old.

Students may check out by phone from someone on their contact list as long as they can be verified. 

Students may NOT check out by phone for lunch unless they are going to a doctor’s appointment (must provide a note) or not returning for the day.

If your student is sick, you do not have to call the school and inform us of the illness.

If they go to the doctor and receive a medical note, we will excuse the days missed. If they do not go to the doctor, the absence goes toward their 9 unexcused absences.

All school excuses must be able to be verified through a provider. (medical, counselor, court, military, etc...)

CHS is a CLOSED campus:

If a student needs to check out for lunch only, it must be an in person check out. Lunch hours are 11:20-12:45.

FOOD DELIVERY COMPANIES are not permitted on campus. No DoorDash, Grub Hub, Uber Eats, etc...

Please keep contact information- phone number, address, email address and emergency contact information current.

If you need to update any information please fill out a demographic form in the office, form must be signed by parent or guardian.

Students may not be checked out by phone after 3:00 p.m.

Students, if you have any issues with your ID or need a new ID, please fill out this google form. Student ID google form link

Current Junior and Senior students may reuse their student ID from last year.

Cafeteria News: Students, bring your ID to the cafeteria. There is a new procedure and this will help speed up the lines.

Attendance Error:

If a student was marked absent and needs to be fixed/changed:
Please contact either the teacher or teacher providing the excuse. The teacher will need to verify and email the Attendance Secretary for the attendance to be updated. Thank you!

Stop by the office if you need your HAC (Home Access Center) letter, which includes your access code.
Once you have your code, you—and your parents or guardians—can easily view your attendance anytime through the Home Access Center (HAC).

Clubs/Tryouts

Students if you like to debate topics and work for solutions to Global Terrorism, protection of citizens in combat zones, establishing a nuclear free zone in developing countries, global hunger, poverty in developing countries, combatting child/human trafficking, consequences of the use of AI, climate change, protection of human rights, protection of civilians in combat zones, protection of migrants and refugees, finding renewable energy sources, reducing global trade tensions, and finding ways to provide adequate health in developing nations, then the Model United Nations club may be for you. Model UN offers learning opportunities for topics that are not covered in class. Join one of the top Model UN debate teams in the state of Arkansas and mid-South region this Thursday, August 27th in room 263 (2nd floor-Mr. Richardson's room) at 3:35. Current members will be available to discuss the club and competitions. 

CHS Beta Club will be hosting its first meeting of the year in the Lecture Hall during WIN Period on Tuesday, September 8th. Any existing members and those who are interested in joining should make plans to attend. 

Wampus Cat Boys Basketball will hold a newcomer tryout on September 2nd from 3:45-5:15 in the old CHS gym.  Participants must have a current physical in DragonFly or present one at the tryout.  See Coach Moon for more information.
